Hammer-IMS is a high-tech machine builder providing solutions and sensors in the field of industrial quality control. Hammer-IMS supplies contactless measurement systems for measuring thickness, basis-weight and anomalies of flat structures in production lines, based on the disruptive technology of Hammer-IMS's M-Rays. Hammer-IMS has an international customer base in the fields of textile coating (calender and knife), non-woven production, wall coverings, plastics sheet production, and so on. China is a potential market for Hammer-IMS' technology and equipment.

Involvement of Horsten International
Early 2020 Hammer-IMS contacted Horsten to perform a market analysis, including trends and opportunities in certain pre-selected sectors, a competitive analysis and the legal situation. From June to September 2020 Horsten approached several industry experts and potential customers and performed an in-depth survey, including a visit to a trade show in China.
After succesfully finishing the market research, Horsten prepared a strategic and financial plan to allow Hammer-IMS to define their go-to-market plan.
Horsten International then helped the customer to implement the agreed actions, including business development services, set-up and content management of a WeChat official account and trademark registration (English and Chinese trademark). This was followed by a participation to the ITMA Shanghai exhibition by two of Horsten's colleagues from the China office.
